Rae Weir Salon was born off the back of the post punk ethos of Attitude, Creativity, Style, Technique and Difference.
We loved it. We were mad about it. We were highly recognised and awarded by the industry for it. But the whole time we were driven by our love and creativity for hairdressing.
Time has moved on but things have not really changed! We have matured though into totally focused, user friendly, hair professionals who strive to bring out your best look, whilst still having a great time.
Whether our guests want a sensational cut, great colour service, something more natural, something a bit edgy, highlighted, low lighted, shined up or a combination of all, everybody ends up enlightened.

Since my time as an award winning hairdresser, I have developed my expertise in delivering first class hairdressing to the high end corporate market in Wellington’s CBD.
I aspire to the Sassoon school of hairdressing when it comes to precise directional cutting and styling. My greatest passion is to drive the engine room of the salon - cutting, colouring, staff education and development. Hairdressing is a relationship based business.
I love hairdressing and building a creative professional relationship with clients and my salon team. Outside of hairdressing and time with my family, you’ll find me listening to music, reading and enjoying a walk with our dog around the beautiful Kapiti Coast, where we’ve lived for 17 years.

We offer an organic choice in hair care products and a cleaner choice in hair colour. We research products regularly to note what changes are occurring in the market. We understand the chemical content of colours and the importance of choosing the colour that has the cleanest chemical content to deliver professional and consistent results.
Our natural colour products are closer to natural tones than traditional chemical colours, with low allergenic properties – it’s what our clients want and it’s what we want to be using.
